OFFICER LINDSEY MEMORIAL RIDE- SEPT 15

A ride benefitting a Memorial Fund for slain Utica Police Officer Thomas Lindsey is Saturday September 15th in Utica. The web site is http://officerlindsey.com/ and includes hundreds of photos of the funeral, etc. So mark it on your calenders and and in early September we'll pick a breakfast meeting spot and ride over together.

Spoke to officer's from Utica said they might like to come to 8/8 meeting to register us. There looking for a 1000 bikes and hope to get as much preregistration as possible. I have extra posters if you need them. Would be nice to have a good turnout from Gunsnhoses.

I would love to make the ride but I am working. Looks like I am working 8/8, 9/9, 10/10, 11/11 and 12/12. I guess it's just not my year.

There is an MDA Benefit ride coming up in AUG. I don't recall the details right now but will post when I get more info.

I spoke with PO Don Cinque, one of the organizers, who said they'd be happy to see us there. I'm riding to Stittville on Sunday to pick up some registration forms. Leaving Syracuse at 1130 for anyone who'd like to ride. The weather looks good (partly cloudy) if you're interested. Call me (391-5770) or post here to let me know.

We'll be on the road by 0645-0700 (at the latest). According to my contacts w/SPD, they plan to leave Patrol East by 0730-0745, but I'd say it'll be closer to 0800, whatever. They're having shirts made for the event and they'll be $5-$7 depending on the size so, if you're interested, state the size you're looking for and I'll try to place an order in advance. Please post here if you intend to ride with us so I can give them an approx. number of our riders.

Now, as for the hair color. . . we've all heard it said by someone that redheads to him are like kryptonite to Superman;) . . .
