valid Insurance Card
create a directory entry on your cell phone named ICE (in case of emergency) that dials the person you want to call if anything happens
I'm still in a holding pattern on Toronto rooms and Grantsville,MD. Should have this cleared very shortly.
We leave from Stella's, like last year.
Those going to the WatchFire, we'll meet at Destiny at 1700, Sunday. Bring any old flags that must be destroyed.
4 days and a wake up! The weather for Monday looks awesome!
Hanna, is anyone planning to ride part way as an escort ? Elaine

We thought you'd never ask! Sounds like a good ride for you to coordinate (I think you've done that in the past, right?)!
This year, the lunch detail is going to get smushed into the afternoon before we leave. Hopefully, the sammiches won't get smushed too!

Twisters touching down all around. . .cross winds gusting to 60mph. . .big ass hail. . . .driving rain. . .temp variations of twenty degrees within just a few minutes. . .jeeeeese. Maybe riding out here to Colorado should have been reconsidered. Before all the unsettled weather in Kansas and Colorado, I got a flat in Huntington, had to get a tow of 140 miles to Columbus, had a truck tip over blocking all lanes late at night in the rain for two hours. . .I'm looking forward to hooking up with you guys in WV for some normal G'nH Spring Ride rain. Hope I took all the punches already and you all get a great start and good riding conditions. From the Olympic Training Center in Colrado Springs. . .

Hey Doc,
I guess then, what you're trying to say, is that it could've been worse . . . you could've been riding a Harley. . . See you in Beckley!
Hey riders!
I hope everyone's as psyched for this ride as I am! And like someone has said before, it's not the destination, it's the journey. I told a couple of you about some history I'd learned about the region around Asheville and I'm looking forward to a group photo commemorating our ride, taken at the oldest bridge in NC named Truss Bridge #79.
I stumbled across it (the info, NOT the bridge!) in an old brochure that had been sent to my mother by her college roommate, who lives in the area and it looked kind of interesting. The area is called Cold Mountain, which represents a geographical location, not a municipality. It's became famous as the site of the movie Cold Mountain (not Brokeback Mountain), which was a Civil War movie. The actual municipality is Haywood Co. I watched the movie, which was pretty good, not stellar or anything like that, but good enough to tell someone you'd seen it.
Anyway, after looking through the publication my mother let me borrow, I set out to find this Truss Bridge #79, thinking it would be a good focal point for a picture after our arrival in Asseville. This wasn't as easy as one might think and it was only after a lot of map searching and posting inquiries on forums online, that I contacted the NC DOT and they couldn't have been more helpful. Anyways, here's the link to a map showing the location of the bridge and hopefully, we'll all dismount there for a photo op on Thursday! Look forward to seeing you all at Stella's in the AM for "clutches out" at 0900 for an awesome ride!
