Well, I think many partied too hard the day before, some may have forgotten and some were snowed in.
We met anyway and here's what came out.
Reservations are being held at;
Days Inn James Madison, Harrisonburg, VA - $42/nt
Wytheville - incomplete
Comfort Suites, Cary, NC - $73/nt
Ramada Inn Nags Head - nearly complete, probably by tomorrow
Stowaway Grand Resort - $91/nt
I'll be faxing rooming lists to the hotels this week and I'll divide the rooms as equally as possible down the middle to split up equal reservations per man, as last year. When that list comes out, EACH ROOM must be guaranteed by one of the occupants with a credit card. I'll have any contact info and/or group info for you to make the calls. Here's the line-up for rooms;
Hanna/Wilson
Cavuto/Dineen
Allnut/Tubbert
Lendy/Simmons
Yetman/Ormsby
Coyne/Edkin
We'd like to do sandwiches on the road whenever possible, for lunch. At least a couple of pizza nights (and hopefully, no taco nights a la Bristol!):D I promised JJ we'd have Muffaletta sandwiches on day 1 (Memorial Lake State Park). I can't let him down, he never made it to supper last year!
We're still hung up (no pun intended) in the communications department and with only 05/30/2006 09:00:00 left, we need to put the full court press on to make some choices, if everyone is to get an opportunity to deal with shipping times, back orders, etc.
We finished things up with Italian sausage, peppers and onions on DiLauro's rolls, in honor of St. Joseph's Day (red peppers and all!).
Our next "at large" meeting is 4/4 at Thompson Rd. Tavern, 1730 hours. See you there and, be careful shoveling!
