Well, I was going to propose an afternoon ride for today (Sunday), but just looked at the Intellicast forecast and I think Mother Nature has nixed that idea. Here's the forecast;
Sunday:
Windy with thunderstorms, possibly severe, developing this afternoon. Storms could contain damaging winds. High 71F. Winds S at 20 to 30 mph.
Sunday night:
Windy...strong thunderstorms this evening followed by a few showers overnight. Low 43F. Winds WSW at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of rain 70%.
Unfortunately, I'm out for a morning ride. Youth basketball is on the schedule at Pastimes. Looks like the 70 degree stuff will be nice. It's 0800 and 62 already!
So if you're planning a ride today, go early, watch for wet leaves, bring a rain suit and stay close to some cover (like we did in NC);) !
