Top Gun

Well, some of you told me this day would come. I haven't told anyone about what was going on just in case I came to my senses, but I went and did it. Just picked up my new 2006 Road Glide from Utica H-D. I'll be making our Spring ride on this gorgoeus new machine. I sprung for the XM radio to boot. What the heck, I might as well go all the way. Unfortunately, with the rain today, I had to borrow a buddy's truck and trailer to bring the new black and silver steed home. Honestly, it looks a little peculiar in my garage.
I'm just waitring for JJ and Red Bull to start teeing off on me saying, "I told you so!" Actually, they were right, saying that the new H-D's are much better and smoother. Now the test will be will it hold up or will it nickel and dime me to death with repairs. I came to be very comfortable with the cost of operating my Beemer.
JoAnne has already said she's looking forward to a ride so, I'm hoping for a break in the rain and we'll go out for dinner and a ride somewhere. Knowing how I'll have to be a bit more fastidious in my grooming of this bike compared to the LT, I bought the yellow wax and a big bag of microfiber towels and just finished the delicate job of toweling the road soot off from the trailer ride home.
Well, at least now we can go fishing.
I'm ready for the barbs, please be gentle!
Ride safely!
