Armed Forces Day at Alliance Bank Stadium

13 May is Armed Forces Day at the stadium. I was just informed that my dad will throwing out the first pitch as Syracuse takes on Rochester at 1600hrs (4p.m.).

If anyone is interested in attending send me a PM and I will get some tickets through dad. This may be a good warm up for the watch fire ride at the end of May.

For those that don't know, my father is retired from the army (24 years) and a Vietnam Vet (3 tours). Before I returned from Iraq last year I had the opportunity to work with him in Iraq at the American Embassy. He recently returned home from Baghdad after roughly 14 months of working as a contractor for the State Dept.

Hopefully the weather will be supportive and we can ride down as a group.

I just got the news last night that the old man will not be throwing the first pitch. I'm not sure what happened, but I do have another 40 or so tickets.

I'm not sure if I will make it to the Change of Pace by 3 (classes all day today), but I should make it to the game. See y'all there.

I still call it MacArthur Stadium, particularly on Armed Forces Day. I hope to be at the Pace by 1500, but I have a busy weekend for a retired guy! See you all later.
