Subject: moose encounter
just to inform you on my encounter with a moose traveling west on rt.26 in n.h. near the balsam hotel
11 am bright sunny weekday, cruising at 110 kph west when a adult female moose came out of thick pine forest to apear in front of me strdling the center line.
just had time to veer left to try to avoid center of beast,hit the moosejust ahead of front legs,took impact on the side of front wheel but mostly to front fairing,mirror and side .
side bumpers broke both front legs of moose andsent it for a barrel roll to end up laying on the center line must admit that the k bike saved my life with its abs brakers plus the computer assited braking wich let me keep control of bike as i tried to avoid collision bumpers and front fairing protected my right leg from hitting moose and being thrown from bike.
i was able to keep control of bike ,not fall off or be forced off the road which wsa closely bordered by trees.
my right shoulder struck moose but no injury i was able to ride home after this to montreal with my bike ,missing only a few plastic parts,was able to reattach my right mirror,wich by the way greatly helped my keeping control by comming off unfortunatly moose was too injured to survive and had to be put down by police and game warden from colerbrook who were called by passer by so my k bike and its many features really saved my butt grevelroger@hotmail.com
