JP, you and our other Ottawa friends are in our thoughts and hearts. While all of us understand that anyday could be the day, it takes a tragedy close to home to make it personal. Your sorrow is our sorrow. We are with you in thought and in spirit by your side.

May he rest in peace,

Stu & Madelyn

Lost one of our own

As you all know by now - we lost one of our own - Const. Eric Czapnik. (age 51). I was working that night and attanded the call. It was a very quite night shift. I called 4 or 5 of my officers to go for a coffee at a area coffee shop. While having the coffee we received the call. At 0436 Hrs the call came in as "Parametics needed help" at one of our area hospitals. While e/r to the hospital, dispatch told us that one of our police officers was stabbed. We had approx 25 -30 officers there within 5 -10 minutes. Upon arrival all Hell broke loose.

We lost a friend and a good cop -

You just never know how your shift is going to go. It starts of quite and at anytime things can go bad - real bad. When terrribly things happen to our own, it hits home.

Lost one of our own

Rob/JP,and all of our Ottawa friends;I would just like to say how sorry I am for the loss,of a "family"member.Words can never express the loss.Maybe the only way to look at it,might be,that he,like all of you were dedicated, professional, great police officers. He died doing what he loved, and he is "up" looking down to protect us all. We Will Stay Strong ----

I just want to thank our Guns and Hoses members for offering their support. The phones calls and the emails that we have been receiving since out tragic loss of a good friend and a good cop show that the brotherhood and sisterhood has no borders. We are going through a tough time up here, but with your support - we will stay strong.

Thanks again
